Alstom will produce 20 new trains for Lima Metro in Peru at the plant it has in Santa Perpetua (Barcelona) in Spain. The supply contract is worth EUR 200mn (USD 223.90mn) and the order includes the supply of additional cars to expand the capacity of trains that currently travel on Line 1 of Lima’s metro. They will also be produced by Alstom in Spain. Delivery of the units is planned for 2019. The trains that will be supplied to the Lima Metro are of the Metropolis model.
